Thank you for visiting the Mini-Vikes Soccer page at Faith Journey Church! We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make the 2026 Mini-Vikes season such a wonderful experience.

This season was filled with fun, teamwork, and plenty of great moments on the field. From the first kickoff to the final games, it was amazing to watch the kids grow in confidence, build friendships, and enjoy the game of soccer together. None of it would have been possible without the support of our families, volunteers, and coaches who gave their time and energy to make the season successful.

At Faith Journey Church, Mini-Vikes is about more than just soccer. It’s about creating a positive environment where kids can stay active, learn teamwork, and be part of a supportive community.

We’re already looking forward to next year!

2026 Season Registration

Get ready for another exciting season of Mini Vikes Soccer at Faith Journey Church! 

Designed for kids to learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of the game in a Christ-centered environment.

What to Expect - Mini Vikes Indoor Soccer (2026 Season)

Ages 3-5 Years Old

Registration- Registration and payment is through our website: faithjourneyidaho.com.

Registration deadline is Friday, 12/12/25.

Coaches meeting January 17th at 9:00 AM. This day will consist of a meeting with/for all
coaches and assistant coaches. You will get your practice and game schedule, team rosters,
shirts, and all other information needed for a smooth Mini Vikes season. 

**Picture Day is Saturday February 7 th . Plan to come ½ hour before your game for photos**

The Games
1st game is February 7th and runs for 4 Saturdays. The last game is February 28th .
Games start every hour. Generally, each game will have two, 20-minute halves with a 5-minute water
break at half time. If the game is running late or the kids are tired, we will stop the second half early.
There are 6 players on each side, including one goalie. Coaches may substitute at will. Parents are
encouraged to be on the floor if their child needs special encouragement or assistance.

The Game Rules: 

    • No score is kept
    • Good sportsmanship is taught and lead by example of coaches and parents
    •  Teach very basics of soccer – no hands (unless you are the goalie), kick the ball into the goal.
    • Try not to hurt each other

Being a referee-This involves encouraging the kids, keeping them safe, and helping when they need it.
We need 1 parent from each team for each game. This gives you as a parent the opportunity to be
directly involved, and the children love to have you out there. Your coach will be asking you to referee.

Final Game (February 28th)-There will be a short ceremony following each shortened game. Each child
will be recognized with a certificate.

Practices –There is only one practice a week and only for 2 weeks (the week before and after the first
game). You will find out your practice day and time from your coach. (Practices will be on Monday or
Tuesday evening.)

Snacks -Team parents organize who will bring snacks and drinks for after the game.
